Automated packaging with igus line gantry robot

In this customer application, the process of packing into cartons at the end of the production line was to be automated. This could be solved simply and inexpensively with 2 line gantries. The first gantry automatically takes the small containers from a conveyor belt and places them in the appropriate fixture. The other gantry then takes the products from the rotating device and drops them into a carton.

Such cost-effective gantry robots are ideal for automating simple tasks, and the employees previously used for manual work can be assigned to more complex tasks. Thanks to the low investment costs, the acquisition pays for itself within a very short time.
