Test printed circuit boards automatically

An inexpensive and reliable solution for loading and unloading test systems of printed circuit boards has been developed by the company Four Stars Engineering Systems. They rely on a robolink robot arm from igus. They have named their solution RoboStar. So that printed circuit boards can be electrically tested, the boards must first be inserted into the test system. This is the task of RoboStar. To do this, the robot arm places the circuit boards in the test unit. Printed circuit boards of various sizes can be picked and placed. If a defect is detected, the PCB is sorted out directly. This fully automated loading and unloading process eliminates human errors. Thanks to the components used, the system is very cost-effective.
